Founding Platform Engineer

🎙️ As the Founding Platform Engineer you’ll work closely with Ismael, shaping the technical foundation of SLNG platform while driving solutions for challenging problems like scaling, reliability, and global compliance.

About The Role

This role is at the intersection of distributed systems, networking, and applied AI — with every line of code shaping the future of real-time speech.

Build and operate the distributed infrastructure powering real-time speech processing at global scale. You'll architect systems handling speech traffic routing, GPU orchestration, and model inference across distributed edge nodes.

• Design and implement multi-region API gateway architecture with sub-100ms failover capabilities
• Build distributed speech traffic routing systems across global edge infrastructure
• Develop GPU scheduling and auto-scaling systems for ML inference workloadsCreate observability and monitoring pipelines for hundreds of distributed nodes
• Collaborate with ML engineers on model deployment, versioning, and A/B testing infrastructure
• Design resilient systems meeting <1s latency SLAs for real‑time applications

Requirements

• Experience building distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
• Deep understanding of networking protocols, load balancing, and CDN architecture
• Experience with container orchestration
• Hands‑on experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, distributed tracing)
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
• Experience with API gateway design and implementation
• Strong Python development experience
