The Field Reliability Engineering team’s mission is to improve customer experience of Tesla products by reducing field issues, in collaboration with a large cross-section of other engineering teams. Engineers on the team are responsible for one or more vehicle systems for Model S/3/X/Y; Semi or CyberTruck (specific to EVs and High Voltage or traditional Automotive components). This is a very hands‑on individual contributor role with duties focused on failure analysis and root‑cause activities.
We are seeking a multi‑faceted Electrical or Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for all aspects of identifying, analyzing, root‑causing, implementing counter‑measures, and reporting on issues affecting infotainment, low voltage, or power electronics components. To be effective, the Field Reliability Engineer will need to be intimately familiar with the detailed behavior of these electro‑mechanical assemblies and the tools and equipment used in their design and manufacture. They will work with other Engineering teams to quickly mitigate and implement counter‑measures of field issues to improve quality, reliability, durability of the products.
