Zusammenfassung

A consulting firm in Hohenfels seeks a FAP Educator to provide educational classes for military families. Qualifikationen

Job Details
  • Title: FAP Educator
  • Location: Army Community Service (ACS), Hohenfels
  • Start date: January 2026
  • Job Type: Part-Time (PTOC) to Full-Time (40 hours). PTOC: Hourly Flexible = Substitute and replace personnel for planned and unplanned absences at the ACS office. Personnel should be available on short notice.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Family & Child Counseling, Counseling, Behavioral Science, Community/Public Health, or Education.
    • Must include 24 semester hours in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
  • Two (2) years of experience with an organization that acts towards the prevention of Child and spouse/domestic/intimate partner abuse, e.g., an Armed Forces Family Advocacy Program, or two (2) years of experience in Family and Children Services; e.g., experience working with child protection services, domestic violence victim advocacy services or women’s shelters.
  • Knowledge of the military system and military family lifestyle.
  • Knowledge of the Army Family support system and the Army Community Service and its programs.
  • Experience conducting professional trainings/briefings and knowledge of the military organizational structure.
  • Knowledge of Army administrative/correspondence rules.
  • Experience utilizing computer programs necessary for the accomplishment of duties (i.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet, and email). One (1) year of experience using these programs in the development and delivery of classes in a military or office setting, such as Army Community Service.
  • Ability to present information orally and in written format (i.e., marketing) in clear English with excellent comprehension to communicate with and instruct colleagues, supervisors, and clients.
  • German or Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
Responsibilities
  • Provide classes and briefings to service members and their families.
  • Develop, schedule, prepare for, and instruct classes and briefings.
  • Maintain class record forms, information, and reports.
  • Develop lesson plans.
  • Update existing instruction materials.
  • Publicize all aspects of the educator program.
  • Represent FAP at events, setting up info tables, and engaging with the public.
  • Administrative support, including data entry, tracking, record keeping, etc.
  • Prepare and manage reports and correspondence.
