Your team You will be part of the Language Services Analytics Team in the Language Services Division of the Directorate General Communications. We provide translation, editing, proofreading and terminology services in all EU languages to support the ECB’s communication services and to help the ECB comply with its reporting obligations. We also offer advice on linguistic matters.
In your role as Data Science Expert, you will support data-driven strategic and operational decision making across the Language Services Division. You will also work closely with others in our Directorate General as part of cross-divisional teams, as well as with a number of internal and external stakeholders. The Analytics Team is part of the Language Support and Innovation Section and comprises four members of staff responsible for driving operational excellence across the Language Services Division and staying on top of the fast-moving field of technology in the area of languages.

Temporary appointments may be extended or made permanent subject to organisational needs and budgetary constraints. This may result in a staff member with a non-convertible fixed-term contract being offered a convertible contract in accordance with the ECB Conditions of Employment.
The contract offered will be fixed-term, the appointment being for 12 months as of the exact starting date of the selected person.
