As a Business Development Director (f/m/x) Automotive & Mobility, you will proactively drive new business initiatives across Germany’s automotive and mobility ecosystem—targeting OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, EV charging and mobility operators (e.g., smart city platforms, intermodal mobility providers), fleets, leasing companies, and aftermarket players. With a strong hunter mindset, you identify opportunities early, open doors, win new logos, and turn prospects into strategic, long-term clients.

At the heart of this role is the sale of highly complex IT services—including custom software development, platform engineering, data & AI, cloud-native transformation, DevOps, and managed services. You turn technical excellence into clear business value and help clients address their most pressing digital challenges. Your focus will be on:

  • Cloud, data & AI process support
  • Electric mobility ecosystems and charging platforms
  • Automotive embedded systems
  • Automotive data spaces & supply chain transparency (e.g., Catena‑X)
What this role requires
  • Proven track record in selling IT services to Automotive/Mobility clients (e.g., OEMs, Tier-1s, mobility solution providers, fleets, aftermarket, smart city ecosystem).
  • Deep understanding of solution-based selling in complex IT environments—including managed services—with the ability to craft compelling value propositions.
  • Comfortable engaging with C-level executives, managing procurement processes, and navigating complex negotiations.
  • Background in an IT services company, Tier-1 supplier, or a technology-driven automotive/mobility organization.
  • Skilled at orchestrating multi-stakeholder sales cycles in collaboration with Pre-Sales, Consulting, and Delivery; familiar with nearshore delivery models.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both German and English.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong self-organization and pipeline ownership.
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of automotive E/E processes and/or IT Infrastructure projects.
What you will do
  • You develop and execute a focused hunter strategy to drive new business in the German automotive and mobility market—targeting OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, charging and mobility providers, fleets, leasing companies, and aftermarket players.
  • You own the full sales cycle: from initial outreach and needs assessment to proposal, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • You build trusted relationships with both business and IT stakeholders (including Procurement), positioning yourself as a strategic partner at the executive level.
  • You lead RFx processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ) and collaborate closely with Pre-Sales, Consulting, and Delivery to craft compelling, differentiated IT and managed service proposals.
  • You leverage our strategic partner ecosystem (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, SAP, Salesforce) to strengthen your solution positioning and accelerate the sales cycle.
  • You position nearshore delivery as a competitive advantage and ensure a seamless commercial handover to the Delivery teams.
  • You maintain CRM discipline and forecasting accuracy, conduct structured deal reviews (e.g., MEDDICC), and operate in line with our pricing governance standards.
