Battery Expert - Battery Systems for Charging Infrastructure - DACH

Earthstream are partnered with an exciting EV charging business that is rapidly expanding across Europe and looking for dedicated and experienced BESS Engineers to join the team.

As a BESS Expert, you will play a key role in scaling battery-backed charging infrastructure across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Batteries are at the heart of their expansion plans, enabling grid-independent deployment, optimized energy management, and new revenue opportunities in the energy market.

You will work across design, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance, and collaborate closely with teams in Industry, Energy, and Network Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a regional energy strategy integrating BESS
• Evaluate and optimize technical designs for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Act as the primary interface to grid operators, external partners, and internal stakeholders
• Oversee battery system rollout and ensure operational excellence in the DACH region
• Provide electrical engineering expertise to teams across Europe

Skills and experience
