3D Piping Mechanical Designer

Opportunity

Owing to continued growth, NIRAS seeks to recruit a motivated and experienced 3D Piping Mechanical Design professional, eager to advance in their career who will join one of our dynamic Construction Project Teams on site in the Frankfurt region of Germany. The successful applicant will support the Site Construction Project Team delivering piping design and coordination services throughout, from Basis of Design right through to 100% review, working in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment but should also be equally comfortable taking ownership of specific areas of design.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing Vendor Drawings and Process P&ID\'s (Piping & Instrumentation Drawings).
• Isometric generation from Process P&ID's (Piping & Instrumentation Drawings).
• Produce Equipment Layouts and models from vendor information.
• Produce 3D models of equipment, piping and supports.
• Piping model As-Built updates.
• Produce isometrics from site surveys.
• System walk downs and site surveys.
• Clash checking for pipe clashes.
• Produce Material Take Off's

Qualifications

• Fluent German / English – Written & Verbal
• 5+ years’ piping design experience - ideally pharma construction build projects or advanced highly regulated process construction / manufacturing environments.
• Third level piping / mechanical qualification or time served trades qualification is desirable.
• Experience in pharmaceutical / clean room piping design, specifications and construction.
• Proven experience in 3D Design required – Plant 3D knowledge required.
• Knowledge of current piping codes and standards.
• Ability to work effectively within a team or on their own as projects dictate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency across the following software packages Plant3D, Navisworks, ACC, Microsoft Office Suite, Revit.
