A leading domestic abuse organization is seeking a Survivor Advocacy Support Worker - Helpline Advisor. This role focuses on providing essential support to women during evenings and weekends through a range of services. Base pay range

It is an occupational requirement that applications are open to WOMEN ONLY, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, of the Equality Act 2010.

Are you passionate about helping others and looking for a meaningful role? We’re looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Evening / Weekend Helpline Workers. This role is vital in providing support during out-of-hours periods, ensuring our helpline is available to those in need during evenings and weekends. You’ll need to be willing to attend daytime training sessions and team meetings.

As a Domestic Violence specialist, you’ll work proactively with women, offering risk-assessed, strength-based, and needs-led support. You’ll be there for each woman throughout her journey, creating individual safety support plans, making referrals, and advocating on her behalf to help her achieve a safe and independent life.

You’ll provide support through our 24-hour free phone domestic and sexual violence helpline, drop-in, email, and live chat services. Additionally, you’ll offer guidance on Domestic Violence Abuse (DVA) to practitioners from other local agencies supporting survivors.

The pay grade for this post is Juno Scale Point 17 £26,705.00 Full-Time Equivalent. You will receive a pro rata payment in line with your contracted hours of work, which are 22 hours per week, of £15,878.65 per annum.

Juno Women's Aid is the largest domestic abuse organisation in Nottingham and one of the largest in the UK. We work with women, children, and teens who have been affected by domestic abuse in Ashfield, Broxtowe, Gedling, Nottingham City, and Rushcliffe. We run a wide range of services including the 24-hour Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Freephone Domestic and Sexual Violence Helpline. This is where you can speak to one of our specialist trained female support workers 365 days a year.
