This position is for a hands-on Manager responsible for directing the program’s activities of the Software and Firmware engineering group focused on new product development and improving existing products. As Senior R&D Manager (Software / Firmware), you will lead and be a part of a high-performance team responsible for the design, implementation, and test of Software / Firmware medical systems and their associated devices within our Electrophysiology Pulsed Field Ablation portfolio.

Your responsibilities
  • Manage a talented team of engineers working on software and firmware development for PFA technology.
  • Lead Software / Firmware teams in the achievement of organizational and functional goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.
  • Collaborate with senior technical leaders, project management, and inter-disciplinary partners
  • Develop detailed work plans, objectives, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Monitor and troubleshoot performance and schedule issues. Support and enable team to achieve objectives.
  • Oversee development processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Build strategic partnerships and effectively collaborate cross-functionally to further departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, clinical, regulatory, etc.) to ensure alignment, resolve challenges, and meet milestones.
  • Work across multiple design/product workstreams to resolve complex problems with robust technical solutions. Consider all critical aspects of product design during decision making including patient safety, clinical practice, high-level product performance, and product manufacturability.
  • Lead by example and motivate and inspire other technical team members in the program.
  • Create a strong team culture around high expectations and high performance.
  • Demonstrate effective change management leadership.
  • Provide clear communication to stakeholders at key technical updates.
Required qualifications
  • BS degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science or Engineering or relevant degree.
  • Experience in software/firmware development (C/C++, embedded systems, RTOS) and understanding of hardware/software integration.
  • 7+ years of work experience in software or hardware engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in leading Software / Firmware teams
  • Experience in medical device or other highly regulated industry (i.e. aerospace, defense, or other)
  • Demonstrated strong cross-functional collaboration, influence without authority, and project/task management enabling highly effective teams
  • Experience with managing budgets and deadlines
  • Passion for understanding the end user environment with a fluency in design validation and usability to confirm design solutions
  • Personal drive, individual accountability and a strong bias for action
  • Strong personal credibility and excellent communication skills
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience developing medical devices from early stage through full product launch and sustaining
  • SCRUM Master
  • Experience in electrophysiology, cardiac rhythm management, structural heart or a comparable intracardiac technology
  • Fluency in the IEC 60601 standards

Ce poste est pour un Gestionnaire pratique responsable de diriger les activités du programme du groupe d\'ingénierie Logiciel et Micrologiciel axé sur le développement de nouveaux produits et l\'amélioration des produits existants. En tant que Gestionnaire Supérieur R&D (Logiciel/Micrologiciel), vous dirigerez et ferez partie d\'une équipe haute performance responsable de la conception, de la mise en œuvre et des tests des systèmes médicaux Logiciel/Micrologiciel et de leurs dispositifs associés au sein de notre portefeuille d\'Ablation par Champ Pulsé en Électrophysiologie.

Responsabilités
  • Gérer une équipe talentueuse d’ingénieurs travaillant sur le développement de logiciels et de micrologiciels pour la technologie d’ablation par champs pulsés.
  • Diriger des équipes de développement de logiciels et de micrologiciels pour atteindre les objectifs organisationnels et fonctionnels. Guider, encadrer, diriger et développer les subordonnés directs et, le cas échéant, promouvoir ces pratiques dans l’ensemble de l’organisation.
  • Collaborer avec les responsables techniques, les gestionnaires de projet et les partenaires interdisciplinaires.
  • Élaborer des plans de travail détaillés, des objectifs, des calendriers, des estimations de projets, des plans de ressources et des rapports d’avancement. Être attentif aux problèmes de rendement et de calendrier et les résoudre. Soutenir l’équipe et lui et permettre d’atteindre ses objectifs.
  • Superviser les processus de développement pour assurer la conformité aux normes de l’industrie, aux systèmes de qualité et aux exigences réglementaires.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for salaried roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
