We are seeking Container Terminal Security Officers who will work alongside other port‑related and logistics services. This position requires strong situational awareness, adherence to strict protocols, and a commitment to confidentiality and safety.
Eligible for relocation bonus $2,500.
- Anticipating and addressing inquiries, hazards, obstacles, and traffic concerns
- Static and mobile patrolling the facility regularly
- Ensuring authorized entry to secure areas only
- Writing detailed incident reports
- Complying with the Marine Transportation Security Regulations.
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to maintain site integrity and security
- Monitor CCTV, access control systems, and alarm panels
- Enforce site regulations and ensure compliance with security procedures
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
- Complete accurate and detailed incident and activity reports
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional presence at all times
- Collaborate effectively with law enforcement and emergency services as required
- Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance as identified by the Marine Transportation Security Clearance Program.
- Valid BC Security License
- Basic First Aid or be willing to obtain it
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Security officers are subject to thorough background checks and security clearances, in addition to carrying a valid Security License.
- Have strong communication skills
- Good problem solving and decision‑making skills, including working under pressure.
- Discretion when handling confidential and private information.
- Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.
