Corporate Data Security Officer

As the Corporate Data Security Officer you will lead the development implementation and management of London Drugs security policies standards procedures and technology. You will be the primary figure in enforcing and protecting the information relied on by the entire company and play a vital role in auditing and investigating any security breaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and recommend annual resource plans to support corporate security programs.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and investigations into security violations.
  • Coordinate solutions to data security challenges across all lines of business.
  • Provide guidance to users and custodians on data security integrity and privacy.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the corporate data security program.
  • Plan organize and control assigned projects to ensure successful and timely completion.
  • Oversee routine maintenance on security software and coordinate changes as needed.
  • Support and deliver Security Awareness Training.
  • Lead the Data Classification process and Data Security Program.
  • Consult with management on Data Risk Analysis and Data Security Concepts.
  • Supervise guide and train colleagues in the Data Security program.
  • Conduct data analysis to determine data ownership and responsibility.
  • Develop and implement controls standards guidelines and procedures to minimize security risks.
  • Research and recommend new technology tools to improve procedures and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Audit Legal and Loss Prevention teams on security issues.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum three years experience as a Senior System Analyst in application development including database environments and designing application security controls.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware / software configuration security controls and data management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized able to multitask and work under changing priorities.
