Licensed Practical Nurse

We’re seeking qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our Village Nursing Care team at Rocky Mountain Village in Fernie, BC. If you are a qualified LPN and a strong team player, we want to hear from you!

The successful candidate will be registered with the BCCNM and passionate about providing high-quality care and support for seniors.

1. Fostering a warm, friendly, and caring environment for residents and staff.
2. Developing, updating, and evaluating comprehensive care plans tailored to residents' needs.
3. Participating in decision-making regarding health and safety, resident care, and staffing.
4. Providing leadership and mentorship to staff, promoting new initiatives, and interpreting care policies.
5. Administering medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with regulations and policies, consulting with RNs as needed.

1. Completion of a recognized LPN program with current certification in British Columbia.
2. Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
3. Physician’s Waiver, negative TB screening, and complete immunization record.
4. Level 1 OFA First Aid Certificate.
5. Experience with social models of care is highly valued.
6. Knowledge of MDS/InterRAI.
7. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
8. Ability to lift, carry, bend, and reach with proper techniques and equipment.
9. Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
