About the OpportunityUnder the direct supervision of the Supervisory Technologist, the incumbent prepares and performs diagnostic screening of gynaecological and non-gynaecological specimens, using appropriate methodologies and quality assurance techniques including computer verification. Additional related duties in keeping with expanded Cytology competencies may be required. Stressful working conditions require the Medical Laboratory Technologist to be tactful, sensitive, and able to communicate effectively and professionally. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times as deemed essential by the Medical Laboratory Technologist Code of Conduct.
