As a journeyperson electrician, you will function at an expert level in your trade and apply your knowledge, skill and experience to a wide range of complex projects. Your work will involve a diverse scope, including, but not limited to, the installation, maintenance, repair and operation of high and low voltage systems (both AC and DC) serving conventional infrastructure and customised scientific setups, a Siemens mXL fire alarm system, diesel generators, transfer switches, emergency lighting, motor controls and uninterruptible power supplies.
Supervise and review work by non-journeypersons when they perform regulated work as defined by the Safety Standards Act (BC). This is an individual contributor role with occasional day-to-day supervisory responsibilities but with no requirement for resource management or the leadership of others.
The position requires the incumbent to be trained and designated as a TRIUMF Nuclear Energy Worker. TRIUMF will provide this in-house training to the successful candidate.
Applicants must be legally able to work in Canada on a permanent basis (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident).
Annual salary: $82,535.00 plus our employer-paid comprehensive benefits plan.
