Driving the plug-in power behind Unreal Engine 5. We bridge connections for licensees and our own internal game teams to online services. This allows games like Fortnite to utilize a combination of platform online services as well as Epic’s own online services to build cross-platform online features. Login, parties, voice chat, matchmaking, purchasing, cloud storage, and analytics are just a few examples of online features that our Online Game Services team helps games utilize.

In this role, you’ll work closely with a wide range of internal teams to build and ship new Epic experiences and improve existing functionality on Android. Additionally, you’ll work closely with other mobile platform developers and contribute to core multiplatform technologies. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of Android best practices, an eye for architecture and maintainability, and a drive to push the industry.

• Ensure the utilization of the latest mobile technology to build user-friendly high-performance mobile applications
• Design, review, and oversee the implementation of Epic’s latest endeavors in Android
• Performance improvement and security hardening of applications and infrastructure
• Providing input for production/live release control process
• Communicate technical risks across the group

• 5+ years experience building and maintaining modern Android applications
• Deep knowledge of Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Passion for building and maintaining consumer-facing mobile applications
• Open to working with multiple languages, platforms, and cross platform solutions
• Capable of driving features through all stages of the software development lifecycle
• Works well in an ambiguous environment with dynamic requirements
• Writing and maintaining Unit and integration tests
