In this role you will provide vocational support to vulnerable persons with complex needs, behavioral issues, developmental disabilities, mental health disorders and/or other related challenges.
Qualifications
Education and Professional Certification
- Completion of a high school diploma.
- Educational assistant or youth care worker certificate/diploma or related degree is an asset.
Experience
- Up to 1 year working with children, youth and/or adults with behavioral, cognitive, mental health and/or developmental challenges.
- Experience as a job coach, educational assistant or youth care worker is an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities
Services
- Provide supervision, care and support to vulnerable persons with complex needs, behavioral issues, developmental disabilities, mental health disorders and/or other related challenges.
- Supervise and engage participants in a safe and structured environment.
- Participate in programming.
- Implement individual vocational plans and programming.
- Communicate job duties, skill requirements and work environment to participants in an adaptable manner.
- Train, support and supervise participant work crews on the work site if applicable.
- Teach participants life skills such as self‑care, cooking, cleaning, budgeting and positive behaviors.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide feedback to the program manager regarding the quality of employment contracts.
- Resolve conflicts and respond to crisis situations calmly and patiently, recognizing triggers, escalating behaviors and de‑escalating safely.
- Administer medications to participants when required.
- Transport participants as needed.
- Document all incidents and updates (attendance records, job performance, critical incidents, medication administration, other work‑site or participant updates). Complete reports and documentation clearly, accurately and timely.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Leadership
- Provide direction, guidance and mentorship to new employees, potential employees, practicum students and volunteers.
- Display positive role‑modeling aligned with agency values and fairness.
- Collaborate with and communicate to the multidisciplinary team as required.
Management of Resources
- Identify required resources for individual vocational plans and programming.
- Submit receipts and reconcile expenses for manager‑approved expenditures.
- Maintain accurate mileage logs when agency vehicle is used.
- Ensure care, cleanliness and maintenance of assigned assets and resources including buildings, vehicles, furnishings and equipment.
Safety
- Maintain, promote and reinforce safe work habits, practices and procedures.
- Adhere to written or verbal agency and government regulations, policies, practices and instructions.

Additional Requirements
- Complete all mandatory training requirements per agency policy and guidelines.
- Hold a Class 5 (novice) or higher driver’s license; eligible for coverage under our commercial auto insurance policy.
Wage range: $20.10–$23.31 per hour. Location: Regina, SK. Position: Casual. Posting Closing Date: Continuous.
