What’s The Team Like

The IT Corporate Services team supports the digital tools and systems that employees across Calgary Airports rely on every day. Their work matters because reliable, secure, and efficient IT services enable teams to collaborate, stay productive, and keep the organization running smoothly. Working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, the team collaborates to support today’s IT operations and continuous improvement. Students are welcomed as active contributors and to gain hands on exposure to corporate IT services and support functions.

What Are Some Of The Responsibilities
  • Analyze current business processes, workflows, and procedures to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Document and help develop processes and procedures that enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer outcomes.
  • Engage and collaborate with stakeholders on ITSM initiatives aligned to organizational goals.
  • Participate in, prepare for, host, and summarize meetings (notes, action items, next steps).
  • Research and develop presentations on ITSM processes and platform enhancements for IT audiences.
  • Prepare, review, and compare technical documentation to ensure alignment with approved processes.
  • Other duties as assigned, supporting service transition and continuous improvement activities.
What Do You Need To Bring
  • To qualify for a Summer Student position, you must be enrolled in a post‑secondary program, related to IT, Networks, IT systems, Computer sciences or related fields and must be returning to your studies after completing the summer work term, and provide documentation confirming your continued enrollment.
  • You’ll need to be eligible to obtain and maintain a RAIC, don’t worry – we’ll help you through this! For more details, check out: RAIC Program and Application Information
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks simultaneously; perform a wide variety of tasks, and change focus quickly as demands change; adapt to varying project needs.
  • Knowledge of IT and business processes required in support of infrastructure and software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important.
What Additional Skills Are An Asset
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Experience with basic programming or scripting (e.g., JavaScript, Python, SQL, HTML/CSS) gained through coursework, projects, or personal learning.
  • Familiarity with web technologies or content management systems.
  • Exposure to software testing, debugging, or version control tools (e.g., Git) in academic or project settings.
