What You'll be doing

The Enterprise Digital Business Discovery & Optimization team contributes to CIBC’s evolving digital strategy as the industry changes and our needs evolve. As the Consultant you will support the optimization pillar within Enterprise Digital, and will be responsible for enabling our businesses by supporting cross-functional deep dives on complex enterprise problems. This highly collaborative role requires strategic thinking, problem solving, and influencing to support development of strategic solutions that support removal of foundation impediments. The role will also facilitate, solicit, promote and assess ideas and recommendations on an ongoing basis for team members and internal partners, through formal and informal methods. You'll be team-oriented and capable of partnering across the team in order to drive increased profitability and productivity to automate and digitize our bank to help build the bank of the future. This team will identify gaps and implement solutions to optimize end to end process and operating models with focus on digital & AI solutions - leveraging best-in-class business practices and technology to deliver business benefits and elevate end user experience.

How you'll succeed

• Opportunity Discovery - You will support in assisting in identifying Digital & AI use cases by collaborating with stakeholders across various teams to uncover unseen gaps, assess optimization opportunities to address operational challenges, and evaluate the impact of proposed changes to the business. You will provide insights and recommendations to improve team efficiency and deliver measurable outcomes.

• Process Improvement Methodologies- You will leverage your experience in process improvement methodologies such a Six Sigma and Lean concepts to document and visualize workflows, identify inefficiencies, and streamline operations for enhanced productivity.

• Critical Thinking – You will support in analyzing operational and business data within specific lines of business. You will also highlight potential limitations and risks to leadership to support informed decision-making.

• Relationship Management – You will foster strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities and make recommendations to ensure alignment.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate experience intechnology and business optimization, with minimum 3 years’ experience with Process Improvement Methodologies. You have experience in the approaches, tools and techniques for use cases identification, enablement and project management. You also have comprehensive knowledge of financial services practices and principles sufficient to analyze and interpret complex concepts and apply these in innovative ways.
