This role will be required to be onsite at the Demonware Vancouver office following the team's work schedule (hybrid, 3 days a week). A relocation package may be offered depending on eligibility.

Company Challenges & Technologies

Demonware hosts millions of concurrent users. Technologies we use include Python, Linux, MySQL, C++, and Erlang. Our Co-op students have a significant impact on our projects and problem-solving efforts.

The Role

1. Facilitate weekly agile rituals for engineering teams
2. Provide weekly project activity reports to Central Tech executives
3. Maintain up-to-date project information in Jira and other tools
4. Monitor Slack channels for customer requests
5. Facilitate conversations between customers and engineers, and among engineers
6. Improve project management practices within Demonware
7. Track dependencies across projects
8. Assist in workload and capacity planning
9. Support escalation processes from stakeholders
10. Provide hands-on support for resolving support requests when possible
11. Manage project management duties for smaller projects

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program or up to 1 year post-graduation
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in English and good organizational skills
• Passionate about data and analytical thinking
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn
• Ability to work independently and in teams

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Jira or other project management tools
• Knowledge of Agile and traditional development methodologies
• Experience with SQL
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies like Spark
• Experience with Cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Networking knowledge
