Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of full cycle accounting operations, including financial transactions and reporting
  • Collaborate with clients, internal team members and relationship managers to ensure high-quality Indigenous EASE client engagements
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and reporting, including compliance with regulatory standards
  • Coordinate the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, including variance reports
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Prepare and publish timely, accurate and compliant financial statements and related reports
  • Assist with new engagements by providing the required information for client setup and deliverable creation
  • Maintain and update charts of accounts and prepare entries for posting to accounts
  • Prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts and highlights
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Maintain flexibility to travel to client sites
Skills And Experience
  • CPA designation (CAFM designation considered an asset)
  • Experience working with full-cycle accounting processes
  • Knowledge of Sage 300, Sage Intacct, Adagio, Xyntax, QBO or Xero considered an asset
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or organizations preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles

The annual salary for this position is $70,000 - $78,500. Compensation is based on location, individual skills and relevant experience.
