Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Assist in inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects. Assist in preparing design, drawings and specifications. Computer-aided design (CAD). Design tools, moulds, jigs and fixtures. Estimate costs and materials. Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings and specifications. Prepare contracts and tenders. Test machines and equipment. Computer and technology knowledge: Autodesk Inventor. Programmable logic controller (PLC). TCP/IP. Equipment and machinery experience: Automated and robotic system. Area of specialization: Robotics or controls. Industrial robotics. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel. Vehicle supplied by employer.
