Role Summary

Seeking a Civil Engineering professional with experience in the nuclear power generation industry to support advanced structural analysis activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tasks, and experience with specialized engineering tools. This role requires a solid foundation in seismic engineering and finite element methods to support complex project needs in a dynamic work environment

Responsibilities
  • Analysis of structures, including concrete and steel, use of finite element method analyses.
  • Working with the following codes preferred: ASCE 43, ASCE 4, ACI 349 & 318, ASCE 7, IBC, and AISC N690, Steel Construction Manual and Seismic Design Manual.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in the Seismic structural analyses
  • Proficiency in ANSYS APDL is required. With the ability to build detailed models, perform static and seismic runs, and develop or modify post-processing scripts
  • Proficiency in LS-Dyna is a preferred
  • Computer programing skills (e.g. Matlab, or Python) is not required, but preferred.
  • Proficiency in concrete, steel and composite structures analysis and design
  • AISC/ N690 experience is a preferred
  • P.E. (US candidates), P. Eng. (Canada candidates) certification preferred
