Position Overview: Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT). Select Medical Connections is a 25-year leader in the travel nursing industry. Role Description: This is a contract role for a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) with several openings across Canada. This on-site role involves working with medical professionals and patients to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the radiology equipment and auxiliary equipment function correctly and are maintained properly.
  • Follow documented safe operating procedures for the equipment.
  • Practice effective radiation protection, infection control, and safety techniques as applicable.
  • Handle all personal information and all personal health information according to governing privacy legislation.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control activities according to equipment manufacturer’s instructions and applicable industry standards.
  • Ensure all images are saved and filed in the appropriate medical record.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Canadian MRT experience.
  • Completion of a diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program.
  • Active CAMRT registration and in good standing.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills; attention to detail.
  • TB test current (last 5 years), valid FIT Test, and valid BLS certificate.
