Job summary
A leading heavy equipment provider is seeking an Outside Parts & Service Representative in Hamilton, Ontario. This role focuses on developing strong customer relationships and promotes sales of heavy equipment parts and services. Candidates must have proven sales experience and a strong customer service orientation. Responsibilities include prospecting new customers, providing after-sales support, and assisting Parts & Service departments to enhance profitability. This position offers the opportunity to work independently and build a loyal customer base.
Qualifications
- Proven sales experience in a similar outside sales role.
- Ability to develop relationships with customers quickly.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment parts and services is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to increase sales.
- Assist Parts & Service departments to boost profitability.
- Regularly prospect and cold call new accounts.
Skills
Brandt is currently seeking an Outside Parts & Service Representative for our Stoney Creek Construction & Forestry location.
This is an outside sales position responsible for promoting and selling Heavy Equipment parts and service, as well as providing after sales support to new and existing customers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers with the goal of increasing sales and customer satisfaction
- Assist the Parts & Service departments to increase profitability and performance
- Regularly prospect and cold call new accounts to discuss new promotions and programs
- Implement yearly territory plan including a customer target list to maximize sales potential
- Visit customers in Area of Responsibility (AOR); a minimum of 1 visit per month
- Keep customers current on new products and services
- Develop prospective customers with a goal of 2 per month
- Follow-up with customers on unit and machine performance
- Maintain and utilize the database records related to each customer including sales meetings, opportunities, quotes, notes, and any other documentation as required
- Work cooperatively with management to meet and maximize budget goals and expand customer base by presenting and implementing new marketing strategies
- Gather competitive product and pricing information and supply to management
- Participate in all required training and development opportunities
- Follow up on customer concerns and communicate effectively to the appropriate Management Team
- Maintain cleanliness, scheduled maintenance, and inventory for the company vehicle
- Other duties as assigned
