A regional health authority is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate patient care at the Dawson Creek & District Hospital. This role involves providing direct care to Emergency and High Acuity patients and requires registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives. In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health and practicing in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to the Emergency and High Acuity care patients according to established standards/policies. Identifies, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care to assist patients in meeting their physical, social, and psychological needs in the Emergency and High Acuity Care environment.
Dawson Creek & District Hospital is a full service community hospital that provides service to Dawson Creek and surrounding communities. Dawson Creek wide blue skies and the rolling foothills of the Northern Rockies surround Dawson Creek. The city is also known as the Mile Zero City, as it marks the start of the Alaska Highway, a 2,400 km long highway connecting Alaska and the Yukon to Western Canada and the United States. Dawson Creek has a population of approximately 12,500. It provides primary service to a population of approximately 20,000 and helps serve the larger population of the Peace River Region of 60,000.
