- Operate and monitor boilers, refrigeration units, air compressors, and other plant utilities to ensure reliable performance
- Perform scheduled inspections, routine maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment and systems
- Respond to alarms, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective actions to prevent downtime or safety risks
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Support continuous improvement efforts to optimize energy use and system performance
- Work collaboratively with other maintenance and operations personnel to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Ensure all work adheres to Work Safe BC and Technical Safety BC standards
- Valid 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate of Competency (BC)
- Previous experience in an industrial, food processing, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong understanding of boiler operation, refrigeration systems, and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently while being a reliable member of a team
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work shifts as required by the facility's operations schedule
- Competitive hourly wage $32 - $35, depending on experience
