Job summary
A leading trucking company seeks a skilled Truck Driver to operate tractor-trailers in Surrey, Canada. The role involves transporting goods, conducting inspections, and ensuring vehicle safety. Ideal candidates should have a Class 1 license and be physically fit to handle demanding tasks. Those with prior experience will be given preference.
Qualifications
- Class 1 / 1F / A Licence for semi-trailer trucks required.
- Physically capable of handling up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
- Experience is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
- Load and unload goods efficiently and safely.

- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment

- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
