Job summary
A local restaurant is seeking a full-time kitchen supervisor to manage food preparation and staff in Southwestern Ontario. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and a high school graduation certificate. Key duties include estimating food costs, supervising cooks, and training kitchen staff. Qualifications
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role is required.
- Experience in the East Indian cooking specialization is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items.
- Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory.
- Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers.
- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
