An educational institution is seeking a Test Centre Invigilator to oversee the administration of provincial Math Proficiency Tests for teacher candidates. The role involves monitoring tests for academic integrity both online and in-person, providing tech support, and ensuring a seamless testing experience. Candidates must have a relevant one-year certificate and a minimum of one year of practical experience, along with strong customer service and communication skills. This position will operate on a hybrid basis across multiple campuses.
The Test Centre Invigilator supports Conestoga’s partnership with EQAO (Education Quality and Accountability Office) by administering the provincial Math Proficiency Test (MPT) for teacher candidates. Students from across the province must complete this test in order to be eligible to work in their field.
The Invigilator ensures smooth, secure testing both in person and online, providing tech support and monitoring for academic integrity.
Successful candidates will be required to conduct work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus as required. It is anticipated that this position will meet the needs of the department through a hybrid work arrangement with the ability to work on-site at the Waterloo, Brantford, Kitchener and/or Milton campuses. The Invigilator may be scheduled to work Monday through Saturday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Schedules change on a weekly basis based on operational requirements and shifts are assigned based on invigilator availability and business needs.
