Join our outstanding Sales Team in Ontario, CA! We are currently looking for a Bilingual Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist who will provide a great patient and customer experience that will result in the growth of the diabetes program.

A Day In The Life

As a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, you are responsible for autonomous clinical case management and educating patients on lifestyle changes involved in a diabetes diagnosis, including nutrition, medication, physical activity, and glucose testing. You will develop and maintain professional relationships with customers, referral sources, and vendors. You will work with physicians and referral sources regarding the patient’s diabetic needs in various aspects of diabetes care for patients and families with pre-diabetes, Type 1 diabetes, and Type 2 diabetes. Your focus will be to grow accounts with diabetes patients, take the lead on the diabetes program, and contribute to curriculum development.

Accountabilities

• Utilize your clinical nutrition expertise as part of the patient’s care team to maximize revenue in key accounts.
• Collaborate with Shield Sales Representatives to maximize diabetic sales in your territory.
• Provide recommendations, develop, test, and implement nutrition education tools for field use.
• Work with Sales and Marketing teams to increase Diabetes business.
• Engage in outreach efforts to enhance community awareness of the diabetes product line.
• Participate in community events and health fairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Current Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist certification.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to promote services and products confidently.
• Assertive, calm under pressure, courteous responses.
• Willingness and ability to travel.

Preferred

• Registered Dietitian licensure.
• Experience with case management.
• 2 years pediatric experience.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing, Nutrition, or related healthcare field.
• Training in CGM sensors and pump management.
