Our client in the Niagara area is looking for a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Facilities Warehouse and Maintenance Attendant. If you are a hands-on problem-solver who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment, this is your opportunity. You\'ll be the backbone of the operations, ensuring the facilities are always in top condition and our materials are managed efficiently. 8 month contract.

• 8 month permanent contract
• Straight day shift
• Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:40PM
• Working independently
• $30/hr

• Perform general repairs and maintenance on buildings, fixtures, and equipment (e.g., replacing light bulbs, general cleaning, small repairs).
• Handle seasonal maintenance duties like cutting grass and snow removal.
• Ensure a safe working environment by following safety rules (IHSA and OHSA) and regulations, including proper disposal of hazardous waste and scrap materials.
• Check and record schedules for fire extinguishers.
• Manage all incoming and outgoing material (shipping, receiving, preparation).
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels in the warehouse and yard, reporting shortages to the manager.
• Perform inventory counts (periodic and year-end).
• Process paperwork (requisitions, returns, receiving documents) accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard.
• Deliver material to job sites and between offices.
• Drive company vehicles for servicing.
• Assist other departments as needed.

• Strong functional understanding of building systems, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire, and security.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) for creating reports, documents, and spreadsheets.
• Proven ability to quickly adapt to varied work assignments and shifting priorities, drawing on an understanding of related work processes.
• Demonstrated ability to independently solve routine problems and suggest process improvements by evaluating known options.
• Professional demeanor with excellent tact, diplomacy, and discretion when interacting with diverse personalities and work styles.
• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure work is completed accurately and thoroughly.
• Efficient and accurate data entry skills for maintaining precise records and documentation.
