A growing construction company in Montreal is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will manage the full project lifecycle, coordinate with various stakeholders, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Candidates must have a degree in civil engineering or a related field and 5-10 years of experience. Proficiency in French is essential, and familiarity with MS Project is preferred. The company offers a competitive salary and a supportive work environment.
Let’s be honest: managing a construction project is a bit like trying to fit a grand piano into a Smart car while singing opera. It takes planning, nerves of steel, and a bulletproof sense of humor.
If you are a Civil Engineering Project Manager (Intermediate or Senior) and you’re tired of just being a number in a giant Excel spreadsheet, we have something for you. We are recruiting for a growing construction and Engineering & Design company in Montreal that understands you can build solid structures without having a corporate culture as rigid as reinforced concrete.
We aren't looking for a robot who just points at dates on a calendar. We are looking for a real human. Someone who can chat with the superintendent in the morning, negotiate with a supplier at lunch, and reassure a client in the evening. You will lead stimulating residential and commercial projects, surrounded by a team that gives you the means to achieve your ambitions (and probably a few coffees).
A quick note on language: Since our job sites are in Quebec, mastery of French (spoken and written) is non-negotiable (we need to understand each other when talking about joists!). English is a very practical asset for navigating the Montreal environment, but French is the language of work.
