A large-scale, not-for-profit ambulatory health services centre is being established in Richmond Hill, Ontario. The centre’s mission is to alleviate pain and improve quality of life for Ontarians, while establishing a new standard of efficient ambulatory care which will enhance efficiency of the public health system. The centre will offer a wide range of same-day surgeries, procedures, diagnostics and clinical services, licensed and funded by government.
Reporting to the CFO, the Vice President, Business Development provides strategic oversight to drive the Centre’s financial sustainability through robust revenue generation. Leadership responsibilities include managing relationship development, strategic and market planning, opportunity pipeline tracking, revenue forecasting, and cross-functional team coordination, as well as the governance of related processes, policies, and resources. The Vice President plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing activities that propel the organization toward fiscal resilience and to support the provision of accessible, timely health services for Ontarians.
With accountability for ensuring revenue diversification and achieving operational revenue targets, the Vice President will guide team efforts to steward the end-to-end revenue generation process from strategy, to lead sourcing and contract negotiation. The Vice President will also spearhead the development of key systems and tools, such as revenue tracking models and CRM platforms, while working with legal counsel and Finance to execute contractual agreements and collaborating with Marketing and Communications to craft compelling collateral for pitches and proposals. Establishing and nurturing partnerships with healthcare stakeholders and other organizations is a central focus of the role, accomplished through both direct engagement and collaboration with internal colleagues across the Ambulatory Centre.
Bringing at least a decade of progressive senior management experience within healthcare or an adjacent sector such as life sciences, health technology, or insurance, the ideal candidate combines financial fluency with deep knowledge of the Ontario public health system, Ontario political landscape, hospital operations, and non-insured healthcare service markets. The preferred candidate possesses remarkable communication and presentation capabilities, excels in relationship cultivation, and leads cooperative teams while implementing complex initiatives with precision. An Undergraduate degree with relevant experience equivalency and / or a Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related discipline is an asset, alongside demonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement, exceptional financial acumen, and sophisticated contract negotiations. With a balance of executive presence and political acuity, the Vice President will be instrumental in shaping a sustainable future for the Ambulatory Centre.
