Job Description :

• Maintain laboratory equipment
• Compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results
• Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor
• Perform quality control testing on asphalt and aggregate samples to ensure conformance of the materials to industry standards
• Collecting, documenting, and preparing material samples (granular, aggregate, and asphalt) for testing
• Accurately complete tests, calculations, and reports in accordance to standardized procedures
• Identify and report out-of-tolerance results to the Laboratory Supervisor
• Keep laboratory and personal work area clean and organized
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Adhere to safe work practices, as per the Capital Paving Health & Safety Policy

Education : Completion of secondary education is required

Experience : At least 2 years of experience is required.

• Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, ability to distinguish between colours, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, large workload, physically demanding, ability to work independently
• Personal Suitability: Accurate, judgement, organized, versatility, proactive, time management
• Weight handling: Up to 30 Kg (65 lbs)
• Language: English is required

Salary : 29.00 hourly, 47.5 hours per week

Benefits : Travel expenses paid by the employer if the worker needs to relocate.

Important Information : Flexibility on schedule is required. The regular schedule is 5 days per week, 9.5 hours per day. Shifts may vary depending on the business needs, including weekends and night shifts.
