A regional health authority in Winnipeg is seeking a Director of Human Resources to provide strategic and operational support. The role requires at least five years of HR management experience, preferably within healthcare, and the capability to lead HR planning and collaborate on regional initiatives. CPHR designation is desirable. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence HR practices within a dedicated team.

The Director, Human Resources is accountable to the President & CEO and is responsible for providing strategic and operational support in relation to comprehensive human resource services. The incumbent leads human resource planning and practices and acts as a facilitative leader and role model to the department heads and staff at Misericordia Health Centre (MHC). The position works collaboratively with Winnipeg Health Region and supports regional human resource initiatives. The incumbent is a member of the MHC Senior Leadership team and is responsible for Human Resource Services, Occupational Safety and Health Services, Staffing Office, Volunteer Services and the contract with retail food services.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Golden West Centennial Lodge, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
