Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented AP Clerk/Junior Accountant with a focus on Accounts Payable to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for assisting with accounts payable, as well as general administrative and accounting duties that will ensure the smooth running of the accounting department. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager. Responsibilities

• Data entry for accounts payable.
• Verify the accuracy of invoices and other supporting documentation.
• Verifying and ensuring intercompany invoices are coded to the correct entity for segment reporting.
• Perform 3-way invoice matching and investigate discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve vendor-related concerns.
• Assist in month, quarter, and year-end closing activities, including audit requests.
• Other administrative duties, including answering incoming calls and other duties as required.

Required Skills Or Experience

• 1+ years of relevant experience in accounts payable/bookkeeping.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Experience working with ERP software.
• Proficient in Office 365 applications.
• Be a demonstrated self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and work efficiently within tight deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and uphold company codes of conduct.

Secondary Skills Or Experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics NAV software.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in business (or related field) would be considered an asset.

Miscellaneous Requirements

• Legally permitted to work in Canada.
• Must possess own transportation.
