Job Summary

Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for overseeing key business processes and their related systems in support of the GR&D portfolio (end-to-end). The role will lead data management practices, provide technical solutions, and focus on important reporting activities required to deliver key performance indicators / metrics which support overarching strategic objectives and oversight of the GR&D portfolio.

Job Requirements

Education

University degree; (Business or Science)

Experience

5+ years of leading strategic projects at an enterprise-wide level;

Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project) and data tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, etc.;

5+ years of experience in reporting solutions and data management;

5+ years of experience in managing technical application solutions and end-user support; and

Experience supervising, influencing and coordinating complex activities and interactions of staff, including non-direct reports.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; Strong understanding of business and supporting technology related to the pharmaceutical industry; Strong Project Management methodology knowledge in a complex environment; Excellent written and verbal communication in varied settings and leadership levels; Collaborative style with the ability to work effectively in a matrix, client-focused environment; Proven ability to manage relationships and interpersonal conflict at all levels; Demonstrated ability to achieve objectives while anticipating and adapting to problems; Experience in a fast-paced matrix environment and developing leadership skills of direct reports; Independent thinker who develops tracking and reporting tools that fit business needs; Knowledge of document management, quality, PPM, and collaboration tools is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide a strategic perspective on the development of systems, processes and controls to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of GR&D; improve productivity and reflect corporate performance.
• Liaise with GIS and select third-party technical vendors to propose and implement solutions for issues related to systems, reports, and overall data processing.
• Support the development and implementation of GR&D strategic and fiscal operational plans, including resource and capacity planning; own and manage cross-functional inputs and related reporting.
• Generate and continuously improve tools for the leadership team to depict the status of submissions, approvals, launches, and the overall health of the pipeline.
• Manage data alignment across business areas supporting a holistic view of the global Apotex portfolio.
• Support project prioritization and execution via risk identification and mitigation, issue resolution; appropriate time and capacity management; and cost management.
• Oversee the enablement and management of various communities of practice to support key business processes within GR&D geared towards knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Use interpersonal skills to influence decision-making across cross-functional teams.
• Recognize and identify issues; take corrective and preventative action; consult with appropriate organizational members as required.
• Communicate openly to build trust-based relationships with colleagues, business partners and leaders while seeking feedback and development.
