Property Tax – Assistant
Position Summary: The Property Tax - Assistant provides essential administrative support to the assessment department, ensuring accurate property records, efficient tax processes, and seamless service delivery. The role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in data management to support taxation and assessment functions. This position reports to the Tax Assessor and contributes to the R.M. of Corman Park's commitment to transparent and reliable municipal services.

Duties:
- Applies technical skills to support complex functions within the tax assessment department, including data handling and process optimization.
- Provides support for departmental functions, such as detailed preparation for assessments and regulatory compliance.
- Involves interpretation and application of technical knowledge to ensure accuracy in property records, tax calculations, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the assessment department
- Supports the Tax Assessor with the administrative preparation that would be required with assessment and taxation.
- Approves tax searches and certificates
- Maintain accurate records and databases related to properties (ownership changes)
- Tracking, inputting and maintenance of new subdivisions, Tax Installment Payment Plan Service (TIPPS), Clients Mortgages, School declarations
- Serve as a backup for the Tax Assessor during absences, ensuring continuity of service
- Respond to inquiries from property owners in a professional manner.
- Coordinate tax enforcement compliance files
- Other relevant duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in administration, accounting, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Previous experience in property taxation, assessment, or municipal administration preferred.
Position Information:
Hours of Work: 8:30am to 5:00pm
Location: 111 Pinehouse Drive, Saskatoon
Wage Range: $67,743 - $80,777; salary will be commensurate with experience and education
