Advanced Upstream is looking for an Applications Engineer to join our team in our Calgary office.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the Applications Engineer will be responsible for providing technical and administrative assistance to the Technical Services Group. A successful candidate will deliver flawless execution through involvement in pre-planning, job execution, and post-job analysis. This position works seamlessly with the Service Delivery Manager, other Technical Services Engineers, and resources across organizational boundaries to ensure all aspects and constraints of the applications are understood and considered.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with gathering technical data on projects, analyzing data, and preparing reports to summarize project details.
- Assist in product design rollouts.
- Perform engineering calculations and estimates for projects.
- Write detailed commercial and technical proposals for project quotations.
- Address technical questions promptly, collaborating with customers to develop solutions for their needs.
- Manage, troubleshoot, and respond effectively to operational performance issues, including conducting field visits.
- Interact with AU Production and Engineering groups to share best practices regarding product applications, installations, performance, processes, and customer interactions.
- Communicate opportunities for new products, testing, and services based on client needs to expand operating capabilities.
- Participate in and uphold all HSE policies and procedures of AU and any specific customer requirements.
- Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as an Applications Engineer.
- 5+ years of downhole completions experience.
- Stimulation design experience.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a good record (abstract to be provided).

- Willingness to travel within the US and internationally.
- Must have a Canadian work permit.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
