Our Housekeeping Attendants play a critical role in the health, safety, and wellbeing of our residents by maintaining infection and sanitation control measures throughout the residence.

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, our Housekeepers are responsible for performing housekeeping tasks efficiently, with consideration for the needs and comfort of the residents.

• Minimum of grade 12 education required.
• Prior experience in a similar housekeeping position is preferred.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
• Attention to detail to ensure cleaning standards are met.
• Dependability, responsibility, and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment. A positive attitude is essential to meet the goals and standards of the residence.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working with disinfectants, cleaning chemicals, and hazardous materials.

• Participate in and adhere to continuous quality improvement standards.
• Follow infection prevention control protocols to ensure resident safety and wellbeing.
• Perform daily and weekly cleaning, laundry, and vacuuming of resident suites according to procedures, schedules, and routines.
• Assist with laundry operations.
• Clean all common areas according to policies, procedures, and schedules.
• Replenish supplies as needed.
• Perform additional cleaning and sanitizing as required.
• Dispose of garbage daily.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of housekeeping rooms, closets, equipment, and carts.
• Provide general assistance to residents as needed.
• Report equipment or maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Complete Occupational Health and Safety audits as assigned.
• Maintain effective communication with co-workers and supervisory staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all corporate policies, procedures, and mandatory training.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety regulations, including recognizing hazards, reporting incidents, and participating in drills.

Must be double vaccinated for COVID-19.
