Our client in Oshawa is actively looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team.

Location : Oshawa, ON

Length of Assignment : Temporary

Salary : $28-30 / Hour

Responsibilities / accountabilities :

The Financial Analyst's responsibilities include :

• Delivering professional financial guidance, leadership, education, and support to the Directors and Managers and other senior members in the areas of : financial performance, budget and forecast reporting, accounting treatment, financial accountability
• Responsible for a portfolio of business units with a very high degree of complexity that requires an in-depth understanding and interpretation of different accounting principles and treatments.
• Prepares, reviews, and analyses consolidated management reports with analysis of results to forecast and budget for reporting
• Oversees the monthly capital asset depreciation process, and performs year-over-year analysis of asset categories, and other assigned "income statement” accounts on a quarterly.
• Is an integral part of the Financial Reporting team to produce a monthly cash flow forecast.
• Developing, coordinating, and providing training and education sessions, as required, to enhance their ability to make sound financial decisions for their respective units.
• Prepares accurate and complete financial reports for submission to internal and external organizations on a timely basis.
• Active participation in all special projects, including continuous process improvements, as assigned by the Director of Finance.

• Required Education :
• Completion of a Master's degree or Undergraduate plus professional certification.
• Candidates must have a post-secondary degree and a CPA (Certified Professional Accounting) designation.
• Verification of Academic credentials may be required experience :
• 3-5 years experience required
• 2-4 years of financial reporting experience preferred.
• Excellent financial modeling experience
