WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The purpose of this role is to maintain the grounds on resort to the highest standards, including general maintenance, landscaping and waste management.

  • Performs snow removal activities on Blue Mountain Resort property and Resort affiliated properties. Work includes, but not limited to; removing snow utilizing shovels and/or snow blowers, applying Ice Melt and/or sand as required.
  • Conducts ice patrols and assesses general hazards to ensure the safety of our guests and employees. Monitors material levels in SOS Bins.
  • Records detailed notes on activities and material applications throughout shift.
  • Makes basic repairs/maintenance of department equipment such as blowers.
  • Informs Management of supplies required, such as equipment parts.
  • Responsible for waste management of trash, recycling and food waste (organic waste).
  • Is aware of and is compliant with the standards and tactics of the business unit as directed by their leaders through training and coaching.
  • Provides feedback to leadership that influences the planning for future seasons.
  • Understands departmental service standards, is receptive of training and communication to create revolutionary guest experiences and achieve departmental goals.
WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?
  • Valid Class "G" Driver\'s License an asset.
  • High school or equivalent education preferred.
  • Must be physically fit; able to lift and carry heavy materials and perform repetitive tasks involving shoveling, bending, stretching, walking and kneeling.
  • Experience with snow removal an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Resort an asset.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to gain knowledge specific to their job area and is receptive to feedback from leadership to further their own growth and expertise.
