Overview

Our client, a subsidiary of a public company with over 80 million monthly active users, is hiring a VP of Engineering and Site Lead to launch and scale their Toronto Office.

Note: Open to U.S. candidates with Canadian work authorization who want to relocate to Toronto.

Responsibilities

• Technical hands-on leadership
• Act as the executive sponsor of the Toronto office, responsible for growth, talent, culture, technical excellence, and alignment with global engineering and business functions.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineering leaders and ICs.
• Champion the adoption of modern AI-native development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code)

• Experience building teams and culture from scratch
