A prominent resort in Canada is seeking a Vice President, Finance to lead financial health, strategic planning, and operations. This role requires an experienced finance professional with a CPA designation and strong leadership skills. Responsibilities include developing financial strategies, overseeing reporting, supporting capital investments, and ensuring compliance in a dynamic resort environment. A commitment to community and guest experience is essential, along with opportunities for professional development and competitive compensation.
This is an on-site role and requires a physical presence at the designated location.
The Vice President, Finance (VP, Finance) is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial health, planning, and operations of Sun Peaks Resort LLP and its affiliated entities. This is a great opportunity for leaders who love to work with long‑term strategy, a blend of technology/pragmatic solutions, and still know how and when to get involved in process to support and grow their organization and team.
The role is well suited to an experienced finance professional looking to build on their knowledge, or make a lifestyle change which better aligns with their career, personal and/or family goals.
With the above in mind, the following portfolios report to the VP Finance:
Base Compensation: $145,000 to $155,000
Physical Requirement: Sedentary; work activities involve handling loads up to 5kg; predominantly in an indoor setting.
We are a values driven organization and believe in doing what’s right, on the peaks and with our people – so we are leading with transparency. Rather than posting an enormous salary range, and leaving candidates guessing, we have two different postings that you can apply on with the ranges clarified.
We are hiring for one role but care deeply about the right fit for our community. Aspiring financial executives who don't quite meet the requirements for Chief Financial Officer (CFO) but believe Sun Peaks Resort is their next career destination will be considered for VP Finance role.
