Responsibilities
- Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
- Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
Qualifications
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience with measuring tools: micrometers, calipers, calibre, gauges, verniers
- Computer and technology knowledge: Mastercam CAD/CAM; computer‑aided design (CAD)
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, tight‑deadline environment
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Attention to detail, initiative, flexibility, ability to learn quickly and work as a team player
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift more than 45 kg (100 lb) and handle repetitive tasks
Work Setting
- Work must be completed at the physical location; remote work is not permitted
- Willingness to relocate; relocation costs not covered by the employer
- General manufacturing environment
Security & Safety
- Drug test required
- Use of safety equipment/gear: steel‑toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, face shield, gloves, hard hat
- Own tools/equipment may be required
