What to Expect

The Territory Manager is responsible for establishing strong relationships with veterinarians and clinic staff at veterinary clinics throughout the London, Windsor, Sarnia and surrounding area. This role involves driving sales to meet targets, selling Purina’s therapeutic portfolio, promoting key platform events, and enhancing Purina’s brand visibility. The Territory Manager will educate clinics on the nutritional benefits of products, conduct business reviews, and develop strategic business plans to grow Purina’s presence with existing and new customers.

A day in the life of a Territory Manager
  • Accountable for Regional Sales within the territory and execution of territory plan: Develop and deliver territory plan, track and measure against it, adapt plans as necessary.
  • Develop and conduct clinic business reviews utilizing Power BI, reporting, online portal and other internal tools to connect relevant insights to drive opportunities.
  • Enhance working capital by lowering Days Deduction Outstanding and sales related NPP Bad Goods.
  • Promote Purina to veterinarians as a veterinary diet company and influence veterinarians to recommend Purina products.
  • Develop and conduct veterinary educational seminars on pet nutrition and Purina products for the nutrition and treatment of healthy and sick animals.
Role Requirements
  • 3+ years as a sales leader with a proven track record of delivering business results as a Sales Representation or Account Manager within the CPG industry or healthcare industry.
  • Valid full driver’s license and safe driving record required; open to frequent travel within the assigned territory.
  • Strong self-motivation and proactive mindset with capacity to think strategically to secure incremental business opportunities.
  • Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Post secondary education in Business, or Science related field.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with proven track record of delivering effective presentations to audiences of all sizes.
  • Candidate must reside within the territory and able to travel as required based on territory needs.
  • Excellent leadership abilities, fostering collaboration and strong interpersonal skills.
