Description

Intertek is seeking a Technical Sales Representative (Building & Construction - On-site) to join our team in Coquitlam, BC. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a versatile career in the Building and Construction industry.

We are looking for candidates with B2B sales experience and a background in construction project estimating. The successful candidate will identify on-site material testing bidding opportunities, respond to RFPs/RFQs, and track project developments through to award. A strong understanding of construction projects and excellent tracking and time management skills are essential.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Sales Director Canada and is based on-site at our Coquitlam BC campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to and tracking project RFPs/RFQs
  • Using construction project platforms to identify bidding opportunities
  • Prospecting and client outreach through various activities
  • Creating bid packages and following up on bids
  • Maintaining an opportunity pipeline and preparing reports
  • Contributing to regional sales and revenue targets
  • Performing additional duties as required

Qualifications

  • University Degree preferred; college diploma acceptable
  • At least 2 years of construction project experience, preferably in on-site quality testing or project estimating
  • Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including GCs and municipalities
  • Self-motivated with effective time management skills
  • Experience with bidding platforms like Dodge Analytics or Construct Connect is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working with diverse teams
  • Ability to travel locally (no overnight travel required)
