Job description

We’relooking for a Supply Planner to own the supply planning cycle from end to end. This role ensures that the demand plan is translated intofeasible production, inventory, and distribution plans.You’llbalance service levels, working capital, and operational constraints to keep products flowing efficiently from cultivation to customer.

Responsibilities
  • Translate the demand plan into a detailed supply plan, covering production, inventory, and distribution requirements across sites and 3PL partners.
  • Run monthly and weekly supply planning cycles: align capacity, labor, and materials to meet demand while highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Build andmaintaina master production schedule (MPS) that reflects demand priorities, operational constraints, and product lifecycle changes.
  • Collaborate with Operations on capacity and labor models to ensure achievable production plans.
  • Monitor material availability (internal andpurchased) and coordinate with Procurement and Master Data teams on lead times, replenishment, and constraints.
  • Partner with Demand Planning to reconcile demand/supply gaps and recommend actions (e.g., rescheduling, substitutions, allocations).
  • Manage inventory targets and policies (safety stock, days of supply, DC allocation) to balance service and working capital.
  • Provide visibility of risks and mitigation options in S&OP meetings; escape shortages, overages, and capacity constraints.
  • Track and improve KPIs: Plan Adherence, Service Level/OTIF, Capacity Utilization, Inventory Turns and Working Capital.
  • Drive continuous improvement of supply planning processes, reporting, and ERP/BI tools.
Knowledge & Experience
  • 5+ years of supply planning, production planning, or materials planning in a CPG/FMCG environment (cannabis or regulated industry experience a plus).
  • Strong ERP skills (any;D365 BC is a plus) with hands‑on experience in MRP/MPS modules.
  • Advanced Excel (Power Query) and Power BI (DAX) for planning and reporting.
  • Knowledge of capacity planning, inventory management, and material replenishment strategies.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to balance trade‑offs between service, cost, and inventory.
  • Excellent collaboration skills; able to partner with Operations, Procurement, Sales, and Finance.
  • APICS CPIM/CSCP or similar certification is an asset.
