Supplier Quality Flow Lead

Job Description

CGD certificate required.

This will be a day shift position (% onsite).

Job Title - Pay rate will be $ - $ / hr.

Starting from ASAP (months contract)

  • Onsite to begin with possibility of WFH based on business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage supplier NCRs / Concessions and work closely with Incoming Inspection personnel to ensure supplier quality issues are adequately identified and resolved.
  2. Follow up on FAR (Failure Analysis Report) and CAR (Corrective Action Report) submittals to closure and determine liability of NCR / Concession.
  3. Support supplier preparation and submittal of any notice of escape occurrences and support program quality submittal to customer.
  4. Conduct product / process and specification audits at supplier's facilities.
  5. Manage and track completion of CARs / SCARs and 8D reports resulting from audit findings.
  6. Review, approve, and administer supplier DVI / PPAP / FAI documentation for existing production parts.
  7. Manage supplier quality information and approval requests through the approved vendor portal (DK0).
  8. Enter supplier queries into our system and support supplier requests for design changes (RFDC), tracking to closure.
  9. Lead opening and closing of audit meetings with suppliers and discuss CARs.
  10. Approve all SAP DVI / PPAP documentation prior to release to the supplier.
  11. Extract and provide DVI / PPAP files to suppliers for submittal.
  12. Assist with engineering investigations, acting as liaison between supplier, engineering, procurement, and purchasing.
  13. Support generation and validation of information for various company reports (ORM / CNQ / BSC / QIS / 3rd party audits).
  14. Monitor FAL (Final Assembly Line) reports to identify patterns or trends in quality issues.
  15. Conduct supplier quality performance reviews where applicable.
  16. Support daily QRQC boards by providing feedback and resolving issues.
  17. Assist engineering product investigations requiring supplier discussions or investigations.
  18. Raise and close quality notifications (COSA's) in SAP as required by procurement.
  19. Review and update SAP part inspection criteria (Delegation / Dock to Stock / Quality Control).
  20. Manage supplier delegation requirements for dedicated suppliers.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 5+ years of experience in part manufacturing or quality, working on new program introductions or similar. Manufacturing engineering degree considered an asset.
  2. University degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  3. Strong background in quality and/or engineering within the manufacturing industry preferred.
  4. Results-oriented with a focus on maintaining the integrity of the company's quality system.
  5. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, attention to detail, and judgment/decision-making skills.
  6. Experience with machining, NDT, special processing, and assembly of landing gear parts and processes.
  7. Knowledge of raw materials and forging processes is an asset.
  8. Trained ISO-1 Lead Auditor and/or previous supplier auditing experience is desired.
  9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English; proficiency in a second language is an asset.
  10. Proficient in Microsoft Office, with good analytical, statistical, and interpretative skills.
  11. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  12. Willingness to work on a fixed schedule, follow up on issues promptly, and work flexible hours with frequent travel.
  13. Commitment to safety, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and adhering to health and safety policies.
  14. Ability to read drawings and work with Catia models via Enovia system.
  15. Effective presentation skills for supplier and internal meetings.
  16. Competence in using measuring instruments for inspection purposes.
  17. Good negotiation and time management skills.
