Your future role

Lead the TPS maintenance team, schedule preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities in coordination with the O&M Planner and the other maintenance team supervisors. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols in the planning, preparation, and execution of maintenance activities. Use GSI software to plan, assign work, and ensure all field work is executed and reported in timely manner. As a Supervisor, manage activities performed by the maintenance team and act as a mentor for subordinates and colleagues. With the support of the Maintenance Engineer, ensure prompt and thorough troubleshooting of systems and equipment to identify root cause of failures and integration issues, and identify containment and corrective measures.

Responsibilities

  • Safety, availability, and reliability of the Power Distribution System (PDS), including the power substation equipment, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) equipment, power supply cabling, “Stinger” system, and “Blue Light Stations” (BLS).
  • Organizing and controlling the provision of maintenance vehicles, access to track level, materials, tools, equipment, training, manuals, and procedures for the PDS maintenance team.
  • Planning, coordinating, and assignment of all maintenance functions using the Maximo MMIS.
  • Direct oversight and auditing of work performed by the PDS technicians.
  • Developing and implementing techniques and procedures to ensure all maintenance functions are conducted safely, reliably, and efficiently.
  • Assessment, classification, and identification of the appropriate mitigation actions for system and component failures and emergency incident response within established guidelines.
Qualifications
  • A Technical College / Institute / University graduate with electrical engineering/technologies training is preferred.
  • You have five years of experience in power distribution systems maintenance or construction.
  • You have the 309A license for Electrician (Construction & Maintenance).
  • Experience working in substations managing conversion of AC/DC power (medium to high voltage environment).
  • Knowledge or the ability to rapidly attain a thorough knowledge of operation and maintenance rules, plans, procedures, instructions, and relevant technical information.
  • Ability to lead and manage all the diverse power maintenance personnel and functions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to maintain a rapport with employees and other personnel, and ability to deal courteously and effectively with others.
  • Road vehicle G-class driver's license.
